Happy Birthday, Bach!

With the rapid spread of COVID-19 worldwide, many people have been forced to adapt to changes in the last few weeks, or even months. The situation so dire that it has led to the announcement of official quarantine in a lot of places and the cancellation of many events. Personally, I have also had a couple of events cancelled, and it is especially sad since it is my last year being able to participate in the All-County orchestra concert and Juilliard MAP composers’ showcase and orchestra reading. But it is vital to remember that the most important thing is to stay safe and healthy.

Then, my violin teacher, Ms. Lucie Gelinas, gave us an opportunity to play - a livestream of Manhattan Chamber Music’s Bach Birthday Celebration, born from the cancellation of the original plan of having a recital. Playing in the comforts and safety of our homes, we celebrate Bach’s birthday!
