MCM 2022 Summer Session concert
Manhattan Chamber Music had another successful chamber session! Every evening, from June 27th to July 8th, I got together at my violin teacher’s to rehearse with fellow young musicians. July 9th’s concert included various repertoire, from Bach’s Brandenburg Concerto to Santana’s Smooth and Autumn Leaves. Playing for 4+ hours everyday and getting to enjoy the rich sound of a strings ensemble was such a blast. I also made a djembe and singing debut—not to pursue as a career, but I enjoy branching out and trying new things!
Special thanks to Lucie Gelinas, who not only is an amazing teacher but also a kind person who agreed to learn and perform the Ysaye Sonata for 2 violins with me in the short amount of time!!
